900 Division Street, The Burg.
This is an interesting building I often passed
by long ago. Never noticed what it was used for.
This is the corner of Division Street and
South Clinton Avenue.
UPDATE: Barb says this was Palmer-Trout Office Supply
for a while:)
UPDATE #2 : Bill Barber says it was once Urkin S Coen
Department Store:)

Mack...This was some kind of department store when I was very small. Became Palmer-Trout Office Supply, for many years. Kind of like Staples, before it's time. Anybody remember what this was before Palmer-Trout? I also remember a big toy store on the corner of Anderson and Hewitt, I think it was called Max and Troligator, (spelling probably wrong).when I was very young. It seemed at the time they had every toy ever made.
700 Anderson Street
(Anderson & Hewitt)
Max's of Trenton Dept Store:)
You are correct !!
That was on our block.. it was vacant for many years when I was growing up and became apartments:)
Thank you I will add Palmer Trout
to the post:)
Bill Barber;
before Palmer Trout it was Urkin $ Coen Department store, also across the street was Laventhals Shoes where we al got out school shoes
Thank you Bill...Urkin & Coen, my husband and I were wrackin' our brains over this. We went to DeLorenzo's on Friday nite, made him drive down Clinton, coming home to try to remember. Bill..did you get your feet X-rayed at Laventhals? Thought that was cool at the time, now after lots of Radiation therapy, realize it's not.
Thank you Bill:)
I will add that to the post:)
On another subject Bill:
I don't know if you have any pics
of that Barn in the yard.
But its in the background of the
pic I have of my Mom in the garden
on here:)
You have likely noticed it but
just in case you didnt:)
There was also a fresh fish store on Anderson and William when I was little. Even though we were Hungarian, mom did the 7 fishes, so our friends could celebrate Christmas. I think Judy Light's fathers Furniture store was across on the other side of Anderson street.
