I do believe that "Ike" Azzaro still owns the building but is not actively involved in the business.
Tom: There was an Azzaro's Pizza on South Broad near Chambers St. Is that still around? When I worked at the Big and Tall Shop, use to go there for dinner.
Joe Z,
That may have been Mike Azzaro. Likely they were related but not sure.
PS
I will have to look to see if it is still there the next time I pass by the area.
Thanks Tom, your right on the name it was Mike.
Correction. It was Abe not "Ike" on Chambers St.
Azzaro's on Broad closed years ago, was vacant for a while, became a mexican restaurant. I drive by it 5x a week and haven't noticed what it is this week.
Barb: Gee what's left, there was a liquor store before Azzaro's is that still there? Use to buy all my booze when I was single from them.
Joe Z...I'll check to see if the Licquor Store is still there. If it's not, I'll suggest some other places for you to use, next time you're up this way. After the drive from Florida, you'll need it.
Barb: If I ever come up there, I would have gone to Henry's on Brunswick Ave and Pine St., but I think that changed hands also.
Not to worry Joe Z...plenty of licquor stores in Trenton, they all cash Welfare checks.
