1237 South Broad Street, Franklin Park.
The corner of Dayton & South Broad.
Once upon a time The Dayton House Tavern.
A site passed by for decades by me from
the days of going to Junior 4 to the days of
working on South Broad Street a block away:)
A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

Remember it well, from walking to Franklin school from Virginia Ave. as a kid.

My husband and I used to meet neighborhood friends there for a drink before we went to dinner. The place was a cast of characters-Frank Kovach was the owner, a very educated man that could talk to you on any subject...Wink-"Joe the Whip, Part II, the Sequel"...the Nangle Brothers, one crazier than the other...Joe Metrosky (rest his soul) offering you a "coke", which was actually Don Q 151 rum... shuffle board ...Sunday afternoon Pool. It was a great neighborhood place to go "where everybody knew your name".
