101 Virginia Avenue, South Trenton.
Once this was Tivador's Grocery Store long ago:)
A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

This was Grove's Pharmacy when I lived on Virginia Ave. in the 50's &60's.

Used to stop in there and get a popsicle after leaving Jr 4 swimming pool in the summer... Remember Rosemary?
Remember Jr 4 summer swimming. Boys on certain days of the wk, girls on the others. Boys would swim au natural. Imagine that today, there'd be lawsuits, parents would be outraged, and some little pansy would have hurt feelings. Boy, have things changed.

Barb and Bob: I remember those days of ala nude. Your right about lawsuits these days. Did not know Rosemary in those days to check her out.
They have Bob, but if we still lived in the city, Saxman would still try to swim au natural with the girls and the girls would still try to get under the partition to peek at the boys. But then that's why we made Trenton the fun place that it was. Joe Z...Rosemary and I must have swam together, we just have to figure out who we are (as soon as I figure out who I am).
Barb P...who said I didn't get in once and awhile to swim with the girls???
