I remember this place, saw plenty of guys stumble out the front door. Right across the street was a mom and pop grocery store called Leslie's. Saxman remembers that store. Nice picture to remember the old haunt.
Joe Z...I lived next to Frost's Bar on Broad St, used to watch the Harbourt Air Freight PILOTS stumble out and to to work. Scary!! Lucky they were only transporting freight. Luckily, the Order Of The Bucket Nuns were praying for them...and the freight.
Barb: One has to say a prayer every night for those Bucket Nuns they have to keep us safe from the crazies.
Sorry to hear it's the biggest drug area, it was a pleasure to stay at my grandmothers back in the late 50's and early 60's never any problems, people sitting outside till midnight and talking. Progress in the wrong direction.
