Skelton Library

Skelton Library, South Broad Street, The Burg. This was a place
to go in summer when we didnt have to read books for school.
When we got a bit older we could go get books on the second
floor. A nice looking building.
There is a Skelton Library in North Yorkshire England and in
that area they also have a Heritage Days Festival..but they
aint got Burg food there:)

No computers back then, so this is where we had to go to get information for some of the reports we had to do for homework. The kids today don't know how lucky they are. Oh, and we had to walk there, as well as Junior 4 and Trenton High from the Burg.

Sometimes that walk could get
modified...it could wind up
at a bus stop going to Quakerbridge
Mall...or it could wind up at
Independence Mall or somebodys
house....oops :)))

Mack,

You are much younger than me, I guess. There was no Quakerbridge Mall when I went to school.

No Quakerbridge true but
you had Downtown Trenton and
all its stores in its glory
years:)

Was at the Library every school night, I actually used to work there for a while. It was great, 'cause Sanders Soda Shop was at the corner of Broad and Beatty (we appraisers all know Vital Services, right Mike). Best ice cream sodas around, even better than Burg Dairy. Trenton alleys were great, you could pick flowers from somebodys yard for mom, or grab a tomato or pepper to eat with your little Morton Salt thingy that was in your pocket.
