Remembering Burg Places

A big list of places. Do you remember: Landofis? Panorama Musicale?
Licciardo Wholesale? Neopolitan Club? Soccer Club? Happys (Both old
and new stores)? Trenton Joes? Orsini Travel? Tillies (Azzaros)?
Creccos? Marios? ElDorado? La Gondola? Hudson Beer Garden?
Willies? Chambersburg Meat Market? Dinos? Anthonys Steakhouse?
Banana Supply Produce Store? Soho?
I know of a few of these places but some were suggested by a friend.
Does anyone remember em?

This is a great site. I didn't grow up in the Burg, but my mother and grandmother did. I remember the SoHo, great place, and La Gondola.

ahhhhh, the memories. As a child (before the age of 10) we lived on Emory Avnue across the street from the 'playground'. For the life of me, I can not think of the name of a Tomatoe Pie place that was on Whittaker just a little past Roebling. I think by the time we moved to Hamilton TWP, this place had closed down. Do you know the place I'm talking about? Thanks!

Gee, that name is not ringing a bell. Not sure why, but I keep thinking it started with a C. Hey, that was a loooooong time ago..lol..Funny enough, I can see it as clear as yesterday where it was and what it looked like inside. Booths on both sides with the counter straight back. Kinda like DeLorrenzo's on Hamilton, but it was more open. I would love to see what your reader's take is on this...thanks!!

I worked in a food wholesaler place on Hamilton Ave. (Trenton Grocery), and a store owner always came in (Little Willie) raving about La Gondola
