A Blog about the Chambersburg area of Trenton NJ. The Burg we all loved and miss. If you were from the Burg I hope many of the pictures and lists and comments under them from good folks bring back some nice memories. Villa Park, Franklin Park, South Trenton, and nearby Hamilton also mentioned. Use the search box atop the blog to find schools, churches, streets, stores, bars etc that you remember. Over 4000 posts and 3000 pics. Enjoy:)

HI MAC...THANKS FOR GIVING THE SCHROTHS A PLUG. I THINK THE TRENTON SCHROTHS HAVE BEEN ESTABLISHED AS ONE OF THE MOST FAVORITE BASEBALL TEAM AMONG THE YOUTH OF THE CITY. GOING BACK TO THE EARLY 30'S THE TEAM HAS REPRESENTED TRENTON IN THE HIGHEST DEGREE. MY BROTHER CHUCK AND I WERE HONORED TO BE PART OF IT. BEST REGARDS TO ALL.
Hi Ralph :)
It must have been great fun. And what a fine tradition of local excellence:))
Ralph:
A note of interest. You mention the Schroths Baseball team a lot.
You are aware that the Shroths are sponsored by The American Legion Post 93. When you were playing the Post had about 1000 members, today the Post has 98 members. It would terrific if some of them were around now to help increase the membership so we can continue sponsoring the Schroths.
HI JOE...I BELIEVE THE AMERICAN LEGION POST 93 HAD MANY MEMBERS FROM WORLD WAR 11. TODAY A GREAT DEAL OF THEM ARE GONE AND TODAYS VETERANS SEEM TO IGNORE THE LEGION. I ALWAYS FOUND POST 93 AS A GREAT SPONSOR AND GIVE THANKS FOR ALL THE GREAT HELP THEY PROVIDED THE YOUTH OF TRENTON.
