Fire at Hewitt and Whittaker 1975
I think it was only a fire in some garages. The fire occurred
on the first day of Saint Joachim's Carnival of that year.

Not sure when it burned to the ground, but this may be Heil's Bowling Alley, a few doors towards Hewitt from the Beatty St corner.
The building containing the bowling lanes were struck by fire some time after we left the Burg, but the restaurant and bar were spared.
