241 3rd Street, South Trenton.

241 3rd Street, South Trenton.
The Pattern Machine & Foundry Corp.
This was listed as such in the 50s according to
my records and still says that on the building.
I must confess I never noticed this place ever until
I took its picture a few days ago. Anybody know about
this place?

Old signs and lettering brought to mind something of interest not far from you Mack.

If you go onto Hamilton Lakes Drive which is off Klockner, the lakes used to form the center of the old Fairgrounds Race Track. One of the old buildings is still visible from that viewpoint (or on Harriet Drive?), and it may have the the old USSAC logo on the back of the building.

It is the same logo as the Indy 500 and has an old wire wheel with wings. It appears to be done in ceramic tile inlay and is truly a piece of our past. That tile had to be made in one of the Trenton pottery plants.

Perhaps it would compliment your pics of "Lucky Lucy", that gal that did stunts at the old fair?
