Fall Comes To Columbus Park, The Burg
This picture is especially for all the former Burg area folks
across the nation who no longer live in a place that has our
Fall season. Enjoy. God Bless The Ole Burg:)

HI MAC...I HEAR YOU HAD A BAD SNOW STORM THE OTHER DAY. THE LAST TIME IT SNOWED IN OCT. THAT I CAN RECALL WAS WHEN OUR FRIENDS JOHNNY AND SOPHIE GOT MARRIEIN 1941. THAT WAS A LONG TIME AGO. I BELIEVE WE'RE GOING BACK TO THE DAYS WHEN WE HAD SNOW ON THE GROUND ALL WINTER. REGARDS.

Hi Ralph & Joe:)
Yes our snow was very nice in the Burg area. I like the change of seasons and a little snow is fine with me. 7 blizzards in one season like we had last year is a bit too much of a good thing but 1 or 2 are fine LOL:)

I'LL TELL YOU SOMETHING GOOD ABOUT THE SNOW WHEN WE WERE KIDS. WE PICKED UP A LOT OF QUARTERS SHOVELING IN THOSE DAYS. THAT WAS JUST ABOUT THE ONLY CHANCE WE HAD TO MAKE A FEW BUCKS DURING THOSE BAD DEPRESSION YEARS. GOD BLESS ALL THOSE PEOPLE WHO HELPED OUT.

Thanks Mac, Living on the West Coast, you kinda forget about what a real winter (or fall) is all about.
Living in the 'burg in the 50's, the park was a magical place.
Great blog! Thanks again
