How lucky were we as Burg area folks to be able to
have our choice of delicious cannoli and rolls and
Italian Bread and cookies and cakes and donuts
from a few Legendary Bakeries...Italian Peoples,
New Colonial, Barberos, Landolfi's, Paramount
Bakery, Priors Donuts & Kramers Bagels just to
name a few:)

    We survived the depression years of the 1930s by eating Italian bread with everything that grew in the garden. Those bakeries helped with their pasteries and donuts on special occassions. Regards.
