Tasty Kakes

Tasty Kakes
Part of growing up in the Burg area in my day was
Tasty Kakes. First getting them from the corner store,
then having them in our lunchbox or bag. Still later
on having them with a coffee at work:)

  2. Mack, loved most of them the cupcakes, pies, tandy cakes and even sometimes the jelly krimpets. We can get some down here but not the pies.

  6. US Navy ... air station Agana Guam. Shipment of TastyKakes arrive at the PK frozen. My buddy and I go nuts, and buy a large box/small case each and a quart of milk. Under a palm tree happy idiots with milk dribbling down our chins and people wondering what the big deal was since they had never seen a T-Cake. Had lunch with the guy over Christmas. We lost touch and turns out he got spit on when he got out and left ... went right back to Australia where we also served at an RAAF base. In his 60's he is competing in the Mr. Australia competition.
